Jamaica – Rhythm & Blues 1956-1961 | Angeregt durch die Bob Marley-Umfrage hier auch mal wieder etwas Vorgeschichte dazu … da gibt es ziemlich tolles Zeug, Blues-Changes, Boogie-Nummern mit schrägen Beats unterwegs zum Ska … sind immer wieder dieselben Leute dabei, z.B. Ernest Ranglin (g), Roland Alphonso (ts) oder Emmanuel „Rico“ Rodriguez (tb). Produziert haben u.a. Duke Reid oder Clement Dodd (aka Coxsone), und auch Chris Blackwells Name taucht in den Credits bereits auf.
