RIP Steve Harwell (1967-2023)
Den Sänger der Ska-Pop-Band Smash Mouth hat’s erwischt. Leberversagen. Als Ende 1997 deren Musikvideo „Walkin‘ on the Sun“ auf MTV und Viva rotierte, ging mir der Song richtig gut rein, weshalb ich mir das ganze Album „Fush Yu Mang“ besorgte. Später sind Smash Mouth ja vor allem durch ihre Nummer „All Star“ bekannt geworden, als Beitrag zum Soundtrack des Animationsfilms „Shrek“ von 2001. Dieser Song dudelt heute noch regelmäßig im Radio. Thank you for all the sounds und cool tunes.
