Monk wacht unterwegs so halb auf, aber sein Auftritt bleibt recht lustlos. Ohne Rouse und die Rhythmusgruppe wär da gar nix los gewesen am 23. Februar 1964 in der Maison de l’ORTF in Paris. Die Aufnahme klingt allerdings toll – und das kommt auch Ben Riley, dem neuen Drummer, sehr zu Gute. Jedenfalls klingt die Band trotz allem sehr tight.
