Dave Burns würde ich eher bei den frühen Beboppern einsortieren – inkl. Minton’s, Dizzy Gillespie Big Band jener Zeit, etwas später (Mitte der 50er) dann die kleine grosse Band von James Moody … er ist auch auf Art Taylors Blue Note-Album an der Seite von Stanley Turrentine zu hören.
