With all the talk of the release of the Stone Foundation vinyl, CD, DVD and single I thought it was about time I finally purchase some items which I have put off getting because of Christmas presents to buy from last year.

First one to get was the „About the Young Idea“ triple color vinyl. OK, £40.00. Go through the process of ordering, and get to the end and it adds in my shipping cost to the US, which is a separate £30.00 for a total of £70.00! I thought this was a CRAZY amount of money, even if it is limited to 2,000 copies. I canceled the order and have decided this is one I will do without, as I have never, ever paid so much for delivery from the UK to the US in that range before – and I’ve bought many things over the years. I understand it is recorded delivery, but I’ve only had 1 or 2 items get lost out of hundreds. There should be a standard option to send standard Royal Post to the US and have it note that it is at the buyers risk that it may get lost in transit. Nicetime and others complained about people reselling on Ebay, but if a seller marked it up and sent it standard Royal Post, the cost in the long run would still be cheaper than buying it from Nicetime, and I’d do it that way if I could find any that were reasonably marked up, but there are not.

I then went to Recordstore.co.uk and ordered the 1978, 1979 and 1981 live double vinyls. Total postage charge from the UK to the US for ALL three? A mere $29.00. I bought all three, despite having them already from the CD box set Fire and Skill. While one is due to be released tomorrow and one is currently out of stock, I chose to have them delivered to me when they are all in stock. I could have had the shipments done separately, and it would have only costed me about $1.00 more for 2 shipments, or about $2.00 more for 3. This is far more reasonable costs for shipping.

Next, I think I’ll order me up some Stone Foundation packages. I really like what I have heard from the teasers and obviously love the first single!

Keith
