    Sehr schönes Album, auch wenn ich finde, dass Hannon teilweise das Songwriting ob seiner Ambitionen vergisst. Absent Friends, Promenade und A Short Album About Love gefallen mir da wesentlich besser.

    Diese LP zeigt ganz gut mein etwas zwiespältiges Verhältnis zur Band. Im Zuge der kürzlich erschienenen Reissues versuche ich es nochmal mit The Divine Comedy, die mich auf Albumlänge nie ganz überzeugen konnten. So auch hier nicht: Neben einigen überragenden Songs, ist einiges doch Stückwerk und eher anstrengend für mich. So fällt es mir schwer das Album im Ganzen zu genießen. Durch die Handvoll an großartigen Stücken am Ende noch ****.
