Ja, es stand zu befürchten. Das schöne „Blue boy“ soweit abgeschlagen. Was stört Dich? Ist es die Produktion von Steve Earle? Ich finde, Earle hat sich mit Sexsmith auf für ihn womöglich ungewohntem Terrain wunderbar arrangiert. Roots- und Southern-Elemente sind doch, wenn überhaupt nur ganz zurückhaltend wahrzunehmen und diese Songs sind doch wirklich fein. Alleine der Opener „This song“ haut mich immer wieder um. Allein mit „Exit strategy of the soul“ haben wir womöglich ähnliche Probleme.
