Leaving On A Mayday ***1/2Sehr schöne Songs dabei, aber auch einiges, was für meinen Geschmack eher spannungsarm geraten ist. Sehe alle Veröffentlichungen etwa auf dem gleichen Level (leicht vorne liegt „Separation Road“), echte Begeisterung löst bei mir keine aus.

Ernsthaft, besser als die Vorgänger? Was macht „The night visitor“ für Dich zu einer derart guten Platte? Ich schätze Ternheim sehr, aber als filigrane Songweberin, musikalisch verkältet und quasi on the beach ist mir die Dame doch lieber, denn als Country Eleganz. Zumal ich das Songmaterial hier auch vielerorts wirklich sehr dürftig finde. „All shadows“, „Bow your head“ und vor allem „Solitary move“ sind wunderbar, aber sonst höre ich hier im Grunde nur (gehobenes) Mittelmaß.
