foe@malibu: Ich würde Chore of Enchantment in diesem Jahr einfügen. Der 1999 Eintrag bei Discogs ist lediglich eine Promo-CD, sonst alles 2000.

Genau. V2 hat das Album kurz vor der Veröffentlichung fallen gelassen, weil es „too indie“ war und hat Howe die Promoexemplare zugeschickt. Der hat dann die Promoversion teils verschenkt, teils verkauft. Ich bin durch einen kuriosen Umstand zu der Promopressung im Sept. 99 gekommen. Howe hat von einem Fan aus Portland Adidas Turnschuhe gekauft und ihm zum Dank ein paar dieser Promo-CDs zugeschickt. Damals haben die Giant Sand Fans noch Liveaufnahmen getauscht. Unter anderem habe ich eben diesem Fan aus Portland ein paar CDRs zugeschickt. Als ich nach meinem Urlaub zum ersten Mal die Post duchschau, lag dann die Promo-CD im Stapel.
Die Trackfolge ist dann auf dem offiziellen Release von Thrill Jockey auch etwas verändert worden.
