Ich habe 70 Pfund für ein Mint Exemplar gezahlt. Das ist recht günstig, hatte aber auch Glück sonst bezahlt man gern das doppelte. Die US-Stereo Pressung, auch auf Liberty, ist günstiger zu bekommen.

Eigentlich poste ich meine Neuanschaffungen schon aus Prinzip nicht mehr in diesem Thread, folgende Doppel-LP möchte ich aber dringend empfehlen:
Sabu Toyozumi & Mototeru Takagi – „If Ocean Is Broken“ (QBICO)
Dazu ein Text von der Volcanic Tongue Website, wo man diese wunderbare Veröffentlichung auch ordern kann:
Major archival unearthing of a historically-potent and previously unreleased 1971 live performance from two of the Japanese underground’s heaviest free jazz legends, drummer Sabu Toyozumi and saxophonist Mototeru Takagi. Toyozumi was, of course, the drummer of choice for the most exploratory of the new musicians, playing with Masayuki Takayanagi’s New Direction Unit and starcrossed saxophonist Kaoru Abe. Takagi cut a series of monster duo sides with percussionists Masahiko Togashi and Toshi Tsuchitori. This beautifully recorded live show, from April 21st 1971, is one of the best examples I’ve heard of how the Japanese so quickly internalized and expanded on the contemporary free jazz revolution. Sabu can carve up silence like no one else, cutting tonal crescents and punching black holes in the fabric of time, but he can also play it tough as hell and some of the energy playing here matches the Wright/Ali set-up in terms of power-stomping. Takagi is just as flexible, playing resonant, spiritualized lines right out of the Coltrane/Sanders songbook and throttling the upper registers ala Abe. An excellent document of the apex sound of the Japanese free music scene. Highly recommended.
