Den letzten Roman von Pavese las ich gestern in einem Rutsch durch – sehr schönes Buch. Ich bleibe noch etwas in Italien und bei den Einaudiani und lese ein erstes Mal Elsa Morante.
Natalia Ginzburg war auch eine Premiere, und das Buch ist in der Tag ganz grossartig … bisher kannte ich nur ihren Sohn Carlo – in Meike Abaths unbedingt lesenswertem Band „Der Geist von Turin“ gibt es dazu ein paar Streiflichter (Rezension der FAZ).

Slept through the screening but I bought the DVD
Zuletzt als Zwischenlektüre mal wieder bei Stasiuk gelandet … tolles kleines Buch. Sein „Kurzes Buch über das Sterben“ liegt halb gelesen (die letzte, längste der Geschichten fehlt noch) herum, an „Der Stich im Herzen“ mach ich mich dann wohl als nächste Zwischenlektüre, „Der Osten“ liegt auch auf dem Stapel … sonst bin ich gerade (nicht Zwischen- sondern eigentliche Lektüre) an Pankraj Mishras „From the Ruins of the Empire“ dran:

Wie du es versprochen hast – Antonia Richter
Beginnt etwas zäh, steigert sich aber kontinuierlich. Schön auch, dass zwar Blut fließt, dies aber so beschrieben, dass man trotzdem die eigene Fantasie bemühen muss, was für mich ein gutes Buch ausmacht Als Erstlingswerk beachtlich; freue mich schon auf den Nachfolger!
Leider nur als eBook; dadurch aber auch günstig.
