34. Sian Alice Group – 59.59Ein schönes Album, das, wenn ich mir die Listen hier ansehe, wohl ein wenig untergegangen ist. 59.59 hätte durchaus ein wenig mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdient. Atmosphärischer, sehr eigenständiger, oft repetiver, verträumter Sound, mit einer Sängerin (Sian Alice Ahern), die ihre tolle Stimme sparsam und effektvoll einzusetzen weiss.

Das häufige Auftauchen von Tha Carter III stimmt mich sehr zufrieden. Auch meine Platte des Jahres.

Da sind durchaus 2-3 Überraschungen in der SPEX-Liste.
„Midnight Boom“ von The Kills wurde ja recht früh im Jahr veröffentlicht und hatte so auch bei mir Zeit zu wachsen. Kein schlechtes Album, ich hätte es allerdings in keiner Liste so weit oben erwartet.
1000 Robota haben sich, Hype hin – Hype her, durchaus auch verdient, mal in einer Liste aufzutauchen. Das Album konnte zwar nicht ganz die Erwartungen erfüllen, die durch die starke „Hamburg Brennt“ EP entfacht wurden, ist aber in jedem Fall eine frische/kräftige Brise unter den deutschen Veröffentlichungen.
Und last but not least, finde ich die Erwähnung des mutigen Instrumentalalbums „Ghosts“ von NIN erfreulich. Mir gefällt zwar die zweite NIN-Veröffentlichung des Jahres „The Slip“ besser, aber das Album taucht ja schon in den anderen Listen häufiger auf.
