Natürlich ist die Curtis ***** deutlich besser als die Marvin Gaye ****. Für mich ist die RS-Topliste sowieso sehr merkwürdig. Auch wenn ich viele gelistete Alben selbst habe, fehlt so viel Qualität an allen Ecken und Enden dieser Liste, von ganz vorne bis ganz hinten. Es scheint so, als ob viele der Teilnehmer sich by the way mit der Listenerstellung beschäftigt haben, indem sie aus der Erinnerung mal eben ein paar Alben gelistet haben, die sie schon immer ganz gut fanden, ohne sich mit der Musik und den Genres der vergangenen Jahrzehnte intensiver zu beschäftigen. Just my two cents.

Besser als die No Smoke auf gar keinen Fall, über die Just Testing lässt sich reden. Werde ich demnächst überprüfen.

Ein ziemlich hartes Urteil. Mag schon sein, dass da recht viele hopplahop mal auf die Schnelle ihre Listen zusammen schusterten. Diejenigen hingegen, die über (viele) Jahre ihre besten Alben „listig“  führten, werden wesentlich genauer liegen.

Sehe ich genauso. Von einer derartig gehypten Liste sollte man schon erwarten können, dass sich die Teilnehmer auf Experten- oder Nerdniveau befinden, die ihrerseits einen konzentrierten und möglichst breitgefächerten Überblick über 60 – 70 Jahre Musikveröffentlichungen haben. Wenn ansonsten verschiedene Genres weitestgehend ausgelassen werden, als wären sie nicht existent oder zu vernachlässigen, kann ich eine solche Liste nicht mehr ernst nehmen. Allein schon Platz 1 (Velvet) und 2 (Marvin), 10 (Amy) und 14 (Strokes) and so on, alles gut und schön, aber the best ever. Puuh.

Natürlich ist da gar nichts. Davon ab ist die „Wishbone Four“ deutlich besser als „No Smoke“ und „Just Testing“.

Besser als die No Smoke auf gar keinen Fall, über die Just Testing lässt sich reden. Werde ich demnächst überprüfen.

Wird nichts bringen. Wir liegen da halt einfach deutlich auseinander. Die „Smoke“ ist sehr gut, hat aber für mich nur einen *****er Song, nämlich  („The Way Of The World Part I). Die „Four“ hat dagegen mehrere absolute Highlights.
