Sorry, die ist mir schleierhaft – weder eine Track-by-Track-Prüfung noch der Gesamteindruck wirkt auf mich meisterhaft oder gar überragend. Hatte schon im Song-TÜV den Sound bemängelt, der durch Hall und gelegentliche Blässe sehr milchig und leicht dumpf-chaotisch klingt (vor allem bei „She Smiled Sweetly“, „All Sold Out“ und „My Obsession“). Diesbzgl. ist „Aftermath“ definitiv konturierter und satter.

Mit Mathematik kommt man da nicht weiter. Ich kann auch deine Kritik am Sound nicht so recht nachvollziehen. Ich höre jedenfalls nichts „milchiges“ oder „dumpf-chaotisches“ sondern viel eher etwas sehr verspieltes, leichtfüßiges.

22. Dirty Worktops, ich habe vorhin „Undercover“ und „Steel Wheels“ hintereinander gehört und bin dann doch zu der Einschätzung gekommen, daß „Steel Wheels“ um Nuancen besser ist.
An „Undercover“ schätze ich nach wie vor den Titeltrack und „She Was Hot“ sehr, beide überragen meiner Meinung nach die besten Tracks von „Steel Wheels“. In der Gesamtheit gewinnt „Wheels“ aber dennoch.
Relativ begeistert war ich dann übrigens auch beim letzten Hören von „Voodoo Lounge“. Habe sie dank kramer nun endlich auf Vinyl. Die abwechslungsreiche Reise machte viel Vergnügen, ich sah die ganze Zeit die Bühne mit der Cobra vor mir. War eine gute Zeit.
Lediglich von „You Got Me Rocking“ werde ich wohl kein allzu großer Fan mehr. Und es ist schade, daß „Mean Disposition“ nicht auf der Doppel LP vorhanden ist. Kennst Du dafür Gründe?--
