1997 feierte David Bowie seinen 50. Geburtstag noch mit ner riesigen Sause im Madison Square Garden in New York, mit Sonic Youth, Pixies-Frank, Dave Grohl, Billy Corgan, Robert Smith von The Cure und Lou Reed … aber da hatten sie David versetzt, die treulosen Tomaten. Das Musikbusiness ist verlogen.

Bowie war für mich die glitzerndste und tragischste Figur im ganzen Musikbiz. Ein Album aufzunehmen und den eigenen Tod voraus zu zeigen, das hatte nicht mal Townes so drauf.
