I had most of them other than the Rock Caracala Festival, which I still feel is not accurate enough. It is, though, better information than I had previously. I have put in Latitude 51.088436 and Longitude 3.490645, which is right in Bellum, Belgium.

I have joined the Facebook group for „The Clubhouse“ so I can ask members where the address is/was to be certain. I think the address you may have gave is for a new building elsewhere. If not, then I will know with certainty where it is from the people who used to go there. Paul Weller was supposed to play there, but it was cancelled.

The Music Nights Festival in Maastricht, Netherlands is the one I’ve been unable to find any information on so far.

The last two in the US, I was wondering if it ever got to the point where tickets did go on sale for the concert at the Paramount Theatre in Denver, Colorado at all. Apparently they did according to what you’ve found in books and other resources?

Der erste Eindruck von „True Meanings“ ist ernüchternd. Fade Songs, mit wenigen Ausnahmen glatt und langatmig produziert.  Weller singt so getragen, wie er auf dem Cover aussieht.  Dass ausgerechnet Richard Hawley, der dieses Metier viel besser beherrscht, einen der Songs mit deutlichem Verve gemixt hat, ist ein allerdings netter Gag.

Gut möglich, dass ich mir das sündhaft teure Vinyl spare.

Mir geht’s anders, bin angenehm überrascht und beim dritten Durchlauf. Leider knistert meine erste LP-Seite (die anderen sind okay), so dass ich die Platte wohl reklamieren werde.

Die Platte klingt so, wie ich sie erwartet habe. Ob ich häufig Lust haben werde, sie zu hören, wird sich finden. Finde die Arrangements teilweise sehr gelungen. Es sind doch für meinen Geschmack recht viele gute Songs drauf. Immer muss ich Weller so nicht haben, aber es ist sicherlich nicht seine schwächste Platte.

Ich halte sie mit großem Abstand für seine schlechteste Platte, geradezu überflüssig.

Bei mir wächst sie stetig. Hat viel Style Council-Feeling – natürlich auf die ruhigeren TSC-Nummern bezogen. Aber ein paar Songs sind verzichtbar, ohne Frage.

Das schwächste Lied ist „Bowie“. Ich habe keine Ahnung, was er bei den Konzerten im Oktober spielt. Ich bin ja in Utrecht dabei. Hatte mich eigentlich auf einen akustischen Liederabend eingerichtet.
