Das Thema Jam Bootlegs habe ich auch ausgelassen. Ich bin mit den in den letzten paar Jahren offiziell erschienenen Live-Alben bestens bedient und würde da auch noch weitere Veröffentlichungen kaufen, dann reicht es aber auch. Lieber jedoch, als weitere Live-Veröffentlichungen, wäre mir eine Doppel-LP mit den besten auf den Expanded-Edition-Boxen enthaltenen Outtakes, Demos und alternativen Versionen.

Ja, die haben mich auch angefixt. Die Aufnahmen selbst finde ich überwiegend dünn. Ich bin aber auch eher Anhänger des Solowerks.

U.U. bin ich an der The Jam ‎– Live At Newcastle City Hall 28th October 1980 interessiert, hatte die verpasst. Gleiches gilt für die The Jam ‎– Copenhagen April 1982.

Die hab ich alle und das reicht mir voll und ganz. Fehlt noch was?
Ein Buch über Bootlegs (die man eh nicht mehr zu Gesicht bekommt) reizt mich ehrlich gesagt auch nicht so sehr.
In den 80ern und 90ern hatte ich das Glück, ein paar JAM Bootlegs auf Vinyl und CD auf Plattenbörsen zu erwerben.
Die Preise waren oft unverschämt, die Qualität, wenn es sich nicht um Radio- oder TV-Aufnahmen handelte, war meist bescheiden…

„THE JAM WERE THE RUNTS WHO BECAME KINGS. Initially derided by New Wavers for being uncool suburbanites, Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler unexpectedly proceeded to fulfil every promise ever made by punk as they took social protest and cultural authenticity to the top of the charts. Weiß irgendjemand, was mit der Amsterdam-Ausstellung ist? Die Website, die Tickets verkauft, ist immer noch online. Aber weder beim Paradiso noch in der Posthoornkerk ist irgendwas von „From The Jam“-Auftritten oder einer Ausstellung zu lesen. Die Betreiber der „About The Young Idea“-Website reagieren nicht auf Nachfragen. Ich gehe mal davon aus, dass das ganze eine Ente war oder gecancelt wurde. Oder weiß jemand etwas anderes? Ich hatte eigentlich fest vor, da hin zu fahren.

POLITICAL MOVEMENT

The Movement is strongly committed to serve the working class. The main goal is to encourage young people to resist and question everything. In that matter The Clash has been a great influence: “Politics and poetry”. Their influences range from Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Marx to Joe Strummer and Paul Weller.
