@annamx: wie schon vor mir mehrfach empfohlen wurde, die snap ist recht. als dolp natürlich am besten, aber als cd kann man die auch nehmen. nur, die von beatlebum erwähnte beat surrender kauf dir nicht. kann ich niemandem empfehlen, der eine gute compilation haben möchte mit möglichst vielen guten songs.Thanx for the warning! Ich versuche es jetzt mit „The Very Best Of The Jam“. Die hatte ein erträgliches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Da würde ich mir auf jeden Fall die All Mod Cons und die Setting Sons holen, damit kann man nun wirklich nichts falsch machen. Hinweis: Der PW Part beginnt ca. bei 2:22.
PW spielte live und akustisch mit Steve Cradock die Titel „Wishing on a star“ und „Thinking of you“. Außerdem wurde noch „Don't make promises“ von der kommenden CD Studio 150 gespielt. Dazwischen interessante Interview-Parts.
Um 23.00 kommt auch auf BBC 2 eine Sendung über den 100 Club mit Beitrag von PW.

The seventies brought some of the 100 Club's toughest and most memorable moments.
The Work to Rule policy of the unions and the resultant fuel saving code meant that electricity was frequently cut off between 6pm and 9pm. But there was a new musical phenomenon just around the corner, which would change the club forever. In 1976 it hosted the first ever Punk festival – featuring UK debuts from, then unsigned, bands The Sex Pistols, The Damned, Siouxsie and The Banshees and Buzzcocks. The 100 Club is still the spiritual home of Punk, and we will hear from the originals of punk about one of their most important venues, including Siouxsie Sioux, Paul Weller, the Vibrators, Jet Black, Glen Matlock and Charlie Harper.In the eighties, musician Chris McGregor introduced another form of music to the club, African Jazz or Township music. Elms will speak to Julian Bahula, distinguished African drummer about his regular Friday night event, which featured authentic African bands. Many of the musicians were political refugees, and the nights became a musical movement for change.

I'm forever blowing bubbles, pretty bubbles in the air... Girls, go home! ...verdammt gut schaut er aus!Ja, ja es geht um das Geschriebene aus dem Special. Habe völlig verzweifelt in dem aktuellen Album nach der Nummer von PW gesucht…hätte mal das Special genauer lesen sollen. :D
Also, Popkid hat recht, es geht um den Song der auf dem neuen Album erscheinen wird.

Ich habe mir die Box heute gekauft und mich würde mal ein Meinungsvergleich interessieren.Ich habe glaube ich alle Songs auf der Box, aber verteilt auf viele Singles und Sampler – die Box selbst habe ich nicht. Von daher habe ich auch bestimmt nichts über die Box als solche geschrieben. Aber die Songs darauf sind toll, mit Ausnahme einiger Remixe und Instrumentals.

Es sind wirklich großartige Sachen drauf.
Die Instrumentals sind schon eine üble Dudelei. Die Remixes – na ja.--
What's a sweetheart like me doing in a dump like this?Der Portishead Wild Wood-Remix ist klasse. Der Lnych-Mob-Remix von Kosmos kommt auch noch ganz gut. Nur „Steam“, „So you want to be a dancer“ und „Eye of the storm“ sind sich so dermaßen ähnlich, da hätte es völlig ausgereicht, die eine Idee auch nur einmal in Form zu gießen!
