Werbung@start: Ich habe für 10 € den Webcast am 27.5. gesehen. Das Konzert war toll, angefangen vom Opener „Andromeda“ mit meinem persönlichen Highlight
„Shout to the Top“. Weller war in Topform.Ansonsten frage ich mich, wo die Meinungen zu WUTN bleiben. Angsthasenfußball oder was ? Duckmäusertum ?
Hat jemand mehr als 300 x das Album gehört ?
Es passt einfach in Weller CV wie ein perfekt sitzender Handschuh !

Und meine Kritik zu „Waking Up The Nation“ steht hier bestimmt noch im entsprechenden thread. Und sie hat sich nicht geändert.;-)

popkidbei dem album klingt schon 100x für mich wie eine gehirnwäsche oder der eintritt in eine sekte.
Deine harsche Kritik wundert mich ein wenig. Ich höre die Platte auf einer Stufe mit As Is Now, aufgrund ihrer Soul und Sixties Reminiszenzen fast besser.

Weller Announces US Dates
Paul Weller is set to cross the pond this November for a pair of shows in the US.
Gigs on both coasts are confirmed with Paul first touching down to perform in Los Angeles before jetting cross-continent for a live show in New York.
Here’s how it all goes down:
November 3rd – Los Angeles, Wiltern Theatre
November 7th – New York, Nokia TheatreA special fan pre-order kicks off today (July 14th) and is open until tomorrow night (July 15th).
Everyone who pre-orders a ticket will also receive an exclusive Paul Weller poster at the show.
And better yet – the first 150 fans to pre-order to tickets to each show will get their posters signed by Paul himself.

From a decidedly indie list, bookmaker William Hill put Dizzee’s Tongue N‘ Cheek and the xx’s eponymous debut album at 4/1 to win the prize.
Elsewhere there were nominations for Paul Weller’s Wake Up the Nation (6/1), Wild Beasts‘ Two Dancers (8/1) and Corinne Bailey Rae’s critically acclaimed third album the Sea (6/1).
Laura Marling will go head to head with her boyfriend, Marcus Mumford, of nu-folk trio Mumford and Sons – both artists have odds of 6/1 for I Speak Because I Can and Sigh No More respectively.
