Danke MarBeck für die ersten Eindrücke zum Album. Beim zu erwartenden Gemischtwarendoppeldecker wird wohl doch für jeden etwas passendes dabei sein. Ich finde es konsequent vom Modernist im Alter von 50 mit Gewohnheiten zu brechen u. freue mich.

Ich freue mich auch auf das Album und wenn der (frühere) Gewohnheitsbrecher Paul Weller, mit seinen Gewohnheiten brechen will, wird schon was Gutes dabei herauskommen. Und hey, alleine schon 22 mal Vorfreude beim ersten Hören, ist super!

Nur der Titel „22 Dreams“ gefällt mir gar nicht, hört sich zu sehr nach Gute Nacht Musik an. Vielleicht wird der ja noch geändert.

Wie wär’s mit „22nd Century“ oder passend zum Geburtstag „22 half Centuries“?

As previously reported, the track is based on the idea of the game Consequences – during recording (which began on November 5) each musician had no idea what the previous performers had done bar a simple chord sequence.
NME.COM ran a daily blog from the studio over the course of the week of recording, featuring contributions from Graham Coxon, Tom Clarke from The Enemy, Supergrass‘ Danny Goffey and Gaz Coombes and superproducer Paul Epworth – click on the name to read their blog.
Other artists involved include The Smiths’ Andy Rourke, Ed Harcourt and The Noisettes.
Beth Ditto and Paul Weller also took part in the recording of the supergroup’s track but it is as yet unconfirmed whether they will appear at the Roundhouse gig.

Paul Weller has announced a new UK tour for the spring which precedes his eagerly-awaited new studio album, ’22 Dreams‘.

The new dates are Paul’s first tour in the UK since December 2006 and provides the perfect opportunity for everyone to hear tracks from the new album before anyone else. Also expect the vaults to be well and truly raided as Weller turns out three decades of his hits, past and present.
