WerbungWirklich ein fieses Plakat mit einem albernen Tourmotto. Als optisches Vorbild hat PW wirklich ausgedient. Blöde Frisuren, blöde Taschen, Schlabberhosen bis zum Boden. Wo soll das alles hinführen?

Liegt wohl daran, dass ihm langsam die Vorbilder ausgehen – gibt halt keine 50+ Mods, an deren er sich noch orientieren könnte!

Ich hätte mir das Plakat noch schlimmer vorgestellt, habe aber keine grossen Erwartungen an die Tour.

Über den Hintergrund „Praktikant goes psychedelic Pop art“ kann man ja streiten, aber das Photo an sich ist ja wohl 100% classical Weller coolness.

und, wegen den 50+ Mod vorbildern für Herrn Weller, da kann er sich ja vielleicht bei der tour mal im publikum umsehen, da sind ja manche mittlerweile oft besser angezogen und gestylt als er, auch in dieser age group wie es so schön neudeutsch heisst.. trotzdem freu ich mich schon aufs konzert auch darauf wie das popkomm publikum auf weller fans trifft oder umgekehrt – wird sicher zumindest interessant.

also mal ehrlich: das plakat sieht einfach sch….. aus, keine frage. aber es ist doch nun wirklich nicht so, dass weller permanent wie ein idiot rumrennt. meckert einer, meckern alle oder wie? auf den fotos ende juni sah er nicht schlecht aus. weder an frisur, noch an den klamotten gabs großartig was auszusetzen. und den känguru-beutel hatte er auch nicht dabei. einzig und allein zwischen den keane-jammerlappen rumzustehen war nun kein glanztat. aber er machte nicht den eindruck, als wenn er sich das freudestrahlend ausgesucht hätte.
und als ob ihr alle den ganzen tag stylish durch die gegend dallert…guter witz…

It also features backing vocals from Candie’s brother Sean and his fellow Zutons Abi Harding and Russell Pritchard. The 7″ B-side, Shopping, was written by Paul Weller and features the great man himself on guitar and vocals, whilst the CD version features an inspired cover of the Bugsy Malone classic Ordinary Fool.The single’s out on 3rd September on CD and 7″, but from this Monday (13th August) you can download it from iTunes.
