Star Wars 3D in Theaters Starting February 2012
20th Century FoxLucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox have officially announced the 3D theatrical re-release of the Star Wars movies, starting with Episode I The Phantom Menace, which is slated for February 10, 2012. No mention has been made of the 3D Blu-ray release that is likely to take place eventually. Note that Star Wars: The Complete Saga has been announced on 2D Blu-ray for September 2011.
Lucasfilm has stated that the „meticulous“ conversion has been supervised by Industrial Light & Magic with „utmost respect for the source material, and with a keen eye for both technological considerations and artistic intentions.“

AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS—the Guillermo del Toro movie based on the HP Lovecraft novella has been axed by Universal Pictures due to its projected $150 million budget and R-rating. Del Toro was asked if the movie had been approved by the studio, and he replied, „The opposite–Dead.“ Tom Cruise had been attached to star in the horror movie. Del Toro will now probably focus on a movie titled PACIFIC RIM in which mankind takes a stand against invading creatures.

"Film is a disease. And the only antidote to film is more film."
The new film stars Charlize Theron as a divorced writer who returns to her hometown, where she stalks an ex-boyfriend (Patrick Wilson) who’s since become a married father. Patton Oswalt will appear in a supporting role as a crippled acquaintance who had a crush on Theron’s character in high school, and TWILIGHT actress Elizabeth Reaser will play the part of Wilson’s wife.
Despite the JUNO connection, YOUNG ADULT sounds like an intriguing departure from Cody’s earlier, lighter work. Cody has said that although the film “has elements of humor“, it’s “pretty serious and fucked up“, and described the central character as a female antihero. A script review by ThePlaylist praised YOUNG ADULT as Cody’s “most mature effort to date“, and compared the lead to the narcissistic, messed-up (usually male) characters of Noah Baumbach.

"Film is a disease. And the only antidote to film is more film."
