My friend works with this photographer and told me they did a session for the Guardian, so keep an eye out.
. She said there’s an amazing photo similar to the Lynch one on that site.
Spoke to my friend last night, the one who worked with Morrissey last week.
The Guardian contacted her (she manages that photographer) asking to do Morrissey’s shoot. It’s gonna be on the Guardian Magazine (Saturday one), I’ll give you all a heads up.
She said Morrissey was extremely nice, he turned up on a red polo, jeans and silver trainers, yes, silver trainers… and he said ‚Do you like them? That’s my new look for 2010‘ haha. She asked where is he living at the moment and he said he’s living in London at the moment.

Sounds like good news to me. I can’t believe Moz would be doing all this publicity if he’s only promoting the re-release of Bona.
I’m hoping it means there is some more substantial news to report – at the very least a proper new record contract.

I tend to agree that there is more news to come. Why would Morrissey being doing an interview with The Guardian, with an all-new photo shoot with a top photographer, just to promote the re-release of a 20 year old record? He did no promotion whatsoever for the ‚Southpaw Grammar‘ and ‚Maladjusted‘ re-releases. It may not be a tour, it may be more new ‚old‘ material (compliation DVD of vinatge visuals), it may be The Booky Wook autobiography who knows?
this will be the first british interview since the infamous NME interview 2007. he has, between 2008-2010 only giving interviews with german,danish , irish and american publications

a family friend, who works in a concession in an upmarket department store in the Trafford Centre, has told me that Morrissey shopped there last week! I have no reason to doubt my friends story, but realise they may be mistaken… They said that Morrissey was returning an expensive vase – that’s how they realised – they asked for name etc, for return, and he said Mr M… He then bought £400 worth of candles!

Also für die Triple Deluxe Variante ist das natürlich ein Mörderpreis. Seine B-Seiten 2004-2009 sind ja auch um einiges besser als viele Albumcuts. Live in Warschau vom Sommer 2009 ist eine feine Zugabe mit guter Songauswahl.

also mine liebsten b-seiten konzentrieren sich eher auf das jahr 1994-1997 die waren GROSSARTIG!
und die sind da nicht drauf…

j.w.8 der B-Seiten habe ich schon. Na gut, bestellen wir mal…

Ich besitze SWORDS nicht, da ich altmodischerweise alle Singlesformate erwerbe aber für den Preis würde ich sie mir nochmal spontan im Laden mitnehmen. Bestellen würde ich sie nicht, dass ist aber meine pers. Vorgehensweise. Ich gehe schwer davon aus, dass diese CD demnächst überall bei Media-Markt u. Saturn veramscht wird (siehe neu gemasterte Doppel „Best of the Smiths“ bei Saturn kürzlich für 6,99). Im Comeback in MA steht übrigens noch eine Vinylausgabe von SWORDS (ohne LIVE Zugabe).

@ Nail: du weißt, dass mir hierzu etwas die Objektivität fehlt. Die B-Seiten sind fast alle okay bis sehr gut, keine wirklichen Ausfälle.

Es geht auch Einzugsermächtigung, die man im Zweifel auch sehr leicht wieder rückgängig machen kann. Ich kaufe schon seit 10 Jahren bei CD-wow ein und habe noch nie ein Problem gehabt.

dafü bin mir ziemlichsicher das der typ der „..Drüber Nachdenken ob nicht von jungen Leuten vielleicht mehr Impulse kommen als von Alten, denen nichts mehr passieren kann…sagt,heiner müller ist-habe neulich auch bei 3sat was über ihn gesehen-…ich glaube auch das er sich bei den „jungen leuten“ auf die er sich dortbezieht, die „neubauten“ sind, mit denen er zu der damls zeit hamletmaschine machte
bin immer noch neubauten fan aber nicht mehr so intensiv wie früher..aber freue mich auf ihr jubiläumskonzert im oktober
