Friedrich, du hast den/die Namen Sly & Robbie ins Spiel gebracht. Ich habe von denen nur die Rhythm Killer. Von der passt nix. Ich könnte sie mir aber gut in dieser Liste vorstellen!

Meines Wissens haben Sly & Robbie sich vor allem als Riddim Section for hire hervorgetan, die auf unzähligen Aufnahmen anderer Musiker gespielt hat. Hier ist eine Diskografie. Jeder hat die schon mal gehört, vielleicht ohne es zu wissen. Ihre größte Zeit hatten sie wohl in den 70ern und 80ern. Was ihre Aufnahmen unter eigenem Namen taugen, weiß ich aber nicht.

Ich hatte S&L ja bereits in Zusammenhang mit Grace Jones* ins Spiel gebracht, leider ohne Erfolg. Aber es gibt -zig mögliche Alternativen. Da muss jedoch ein Experte was vorschlagen.

*Edit: Und in diesem Zusammenhang ging es mir nicht in erster Linie um Grace Jones als Pop-Ikone, sondern um die messerscharfen riddims, die Chris Blackwell & Alex Sadkin mit Hilfe von Sly & Robbie für Grace Jones produziert haben.

Wir hätten ruhig manchmal strenger sein können. Manchmal war aber auch so lange nichts los, dass man etwas, was man später kicken wollte, einfach nicht mehr kicken konnte. Bob Marley ist mir so durchgerutscht.
