SIMON & GARFUNKEL – Bridge Over Troubled Water (40th Anniversary Edition) (1 CD/1 DVD)„…The CD portion of this special 40th Anniversary Edition will consist solely of the 11-track album as originally released in 1970. Frustratingly, the demo recordings of “Feuilles-O” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water” included on the 2001 reissue have been dropped. “Groundhog” and “Cuba Si, Nixon No” will, at least for the foreseeable future, remain unreleased. Both discs will be housed in a digipak, and no mention has been made of a fresh remastering.“

WerbungAnkündigung von FRIDAY MUSIC:
Legendary rocker and blues statesmen Johnny Winter continues to enthrall audiences worldwide. With his unique brand of blues/rock guitar and vocal prowess, Winter’s style is truly unmatched in purity and in star power longevity.
While he tours non-stop, it’s no secret that his live performances are legendary. Fortunately for his huge fan base, Johnny has caught a lot of his concerts on tape over the many decades, which proudly leads us to the latest installment of the chart topping Live Bootleg Series.
For Johnny Winter’s Live Bootleg Series Vol. 7, the artist surely becomes his instrument in some incredibly guitar shredding live performances. The blues wielding axeman steps out with super extended work-out’s on concert classics like Don’t Take Advantage Of Me, Leland, Mississippi Blues, Blues Jam and a very rare acoustic performance of Kiss Tommorow Goodbye.
Always paying homage to his fellow bluesmen, Johnny also dug far back into his archives for two super rare performances of Muddy Waters‘ Mean Mistreater and Jimmy Reed’s Shame, Shame, Shame.
Friday Music is very honored to be the home of Johnny Winter’s Live Bootleg Series Vol. 7. As with our previous releases, these are totally authorized and owned/controlled by Johnny Winter himself. As an extra special bonus to the fans, Johnny’s good friend and famed guitarist Warren Haynes (The Allman Brothers/Gov’t Mule) penned the hip liner notes and the legendary photographer Mick Rock’s photo graces the stunning album cover.

Legacy Recordings Announces the Premiere Release of Billy Joel – Live At Shea Stadium, Full Length Concert Film Available for First Time on CD, DVD & Blu-ray Disc Tuesday, March 8
Film of Singer’s Historic 2008 Concerts Closing America’s Cradle of Stadium Rock Includes Performances By Guest Artists Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett, Garth Brooks and John Mayer + DVD/Blu-ray Bonus Duets with Steven Tyler, Roger Daltrey and John Mellencamp
NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — On Tuesday, March 8, Legacy Recordings will release, for the very first time, Billy Joel – Live at Shea Stadium, a full-length music film of Billy Joel’s historic shows in July 2008 marking the last-ever concerts at rock’s first great arena venue.
Billy Joel – Live At Shea Stadium will be available in a CD/DVD set as well as a stand-alone DVD and stand-alone Blu-ray Disc.
The full-concert companion to the acclaimed Lionsgate documentary „The Last Play At Shea,“ Billy Joel Live At Shea Stadium features more than two hours of Billy and his band offering definitive, and often transcendent versions of hits, rarities, deep catalog, personal favorites and crowd-pleasing surprises including duets with guest artists Paul McCartney („I Saw Her Standing There,“ „Let It Be“), Tony Bennett („New York State of Mind“), Garth Brooks („Shameless“) and John Mayer („This Is The Time“) along with exclusive DVD/Blu-ray bonus performances with Steven Tyler („Walk This Way“), Roger Daltrey („My Generation“) and John Mellencamp („Pink Houses“).
Built in 1964, Shea Stadium was the home of the New York Mets for 45 years. Designed as a multi-purpose stadium, Shea became the birthplace of arena rock when the Beatles appeared there August 15, 1965, establishing the ballpark as a pinnacle venue for rock’s biggest names: The Who, The Police, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and others have all played Shea.
Chosen as the last rock act to play the venue, Billy Joel staged his „Last Play At Shea“ concerts on July 16 and July 18, 2008, rocking a combined audience of 110,000 fans with one of the most emotionally charged shows ever played at the historic stadium. After 45 years, two New York Mets World Series victories, the arena debut of The Beatles and Billy Joel’s „The Last Play At Shea,“ the final section of Shea Stadium was torn down in 2009.
A broadcast edition of Billy Joel – Live At Shea Stadium will premiere on PBS Great Performances in March.

In 1996, Soundgarden toured the West Coast of America, recording the shows with a view to releasing a live album. However, the band split up after the tour and all the live tapes sat in a recording studio in Seattle for the next 15 years.
They have now dusted off those live tapes and have delivered Soundgarden’s first ever live album, and one that captures the band at the height of their recording and touring career. It includes favorites like SPOONMAN, RUSTY CAGE, BURDEN MY HEART and BLACK HOLE SUN (performed by Chris Cornell solo), as well what insiders are calling the definitive live performance of JESUS CHRIST POSE. As a bonus, the disc includes two brilliantly inspired covers: HELTER SKELTER and the proto-punk classic, SEARCH & DESTROY.
The collection captures the rawness, spontaneity and magic that happens at live gigs between Soundgarden and their audiences – catching the now-legendary rock titans at the top of their game.
Following the band’s celebrated 2010 reunion, Soundgarden re-staked their well deserved place, earning a Grammy Nomination for previously unreleased track BLACK RAIN and for Best Hard Rock Performance, and topped critics lists with their 2010 release, TELEPHANTASM.

On October 29th and 30th, 2009, rock ’n‘ roll royalty held court at Madison Square Garden for what have been called ‚the best concerts ever,‘ where ‚rock ’n‘ roll history was made.‘ Recorded live with 30 camera angles plus state-of-the-art recording, we captured the sights and sounds from these electrifying and historic concerts in New York City.
Now, this critically-acclaimed and highly-rated HBO special is available on Blu-ray for the very first time! ‚THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME CONCERTS‘ features all 51 performances from the acclaimed HBO special, plus 16 performances not seen on HBO, all in a 2-disc Blu-ray set.
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, the concerts featured a who’s who of rock from the ’50s to the ’90s and included artists performing together in unique combinations that will most likely never be witnessed again.

-Mick Jagger and Fergie in a blistering version of the Stones‘ classic ‚Gimme Shelter,‘ with U2 as the backing band.
-Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel on-stage for a rollicking rendition of ‚Born to Run.‘
-Sting joins Jeff Beck for the Curtis Mayfeld classic ‚People Get Ready.‘
-Paul Simon, David Crosby and Graham Nash join together for a spine-tingling ‚Here Comes the Sun.‘
-Ozzy Osbourne sings with Metallica on the Black Sabbath classics ‚Iron Man‘ and ‚Paranoid.‘

-Plus Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Simon & Garfunkel, U2, Dion, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, John Legend, Annie Lennox, Smokey Robinson, B.B.

BD?
Hab‘ nirgends eine konkrete Tracklist finden können.Highlight für mich Gimme Shelter (U2, Jagger, Fergie), Tiefpunkt: The way you make me feel (Stevie Wonder mit John Legend)
