Derek and The Dominos classic “Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs” will be getting a 40th Anniversary release in March 2011. Ok, so it is late by a few months, but who’s counting!

The set will be available in three formats:

    1 newly remastered CD
    2 2CD Deluxe Edition
    3 4CD/1DVD/2LP Super Deluxe Edition

The provisional details are as follows:

    1. Layla remastered CD
    2. Layla bonus CD (13 tracks including Johnny Cash TV Show and 6 Second album recordings)
    3. Layla 5.1 Surround Sound DVD (Elliot Scheiner mixes)
    4. In Concert remastered 2CDs with 4 bonus tracks

We understand that the vinyl album will be mastered from the UK ‘Super Polydor’ master tapes.

Recorded 30 years ago while Marley was touring in support of his album Uprising, Live Forever is Bob Marley’s last recorded concert. This never before released audio collection offers an incredible snapshot of one of music’s most influential performers.

Bob Marley & The Wailers – Live Forever: The Stanley Theatre, Pittsburgh, PA, September 23, 1980 (UMe/Tuff Gong International) is a 2CD/3LP/digital collection that features many of Bob’s most cherished songs, and is available for the first time on February 1, 2011. This unforgettable concert contains unique performances of “No Woman No Cry,” “Jammin’,” and “Is This Love,” to name a few, and depicts a musical innovator and inspiration to people of many cultures and generations. This spectacular audio documentary Live Forever, also immortalizes the last song Marley ever performed live in concert: “Get Up Stand Up,” his rally cry for equality.
“Bob’s music has always conveyed a message of hope, unity and love. It has brought countless people together as it did that night 30 years ago in Pittsburgh. To hear that music today and to be able to share it with a new generation shows that Bob is as relevant today as he was 30 years ago,” says Rita Marley.

The momentous occasion captured on Live Forever is now available on 2CD/3LP/digital, for the benefit of all who missed their first opportunity to attend that magical evening. Marley’s influence on today’s musical landscape and his continuous worldwide appeal is still evident today. And his legacy and message carry on.

Uprising’s most notable song, “Redemption Song,” is featured on this extraordinary release and has been covered by everyone from Rihanna and the Dave Matthews Band to Stevie Wonder and Chris Cornell. His hits compilation, Legend, has also spent an astonishing 1,000 weeks on the Billboard catalog chart sitting at #1 for 110 of those weeks. The celebration of Marley’s work continues as Legend gets the video game treatment and is available for download as part of the best-selling Rock Band series. The Marley family also plans to commemorate Bob Marley and his legacy with other celebratory events throughout the year in 2011.

Gonzo Multimedia are proud to announce the release of Yes “UNION” in a Special Limited Edition Deluxe Package.

This concert film of the band was made on August 8th 1991 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. It was subsequently only released in Japan on video and then on the briefly new format of Laser Disc. This fantastic film however, was not widely available for a long time and has since become a much sought after artefact amongst Yes fans.

For further information about this release and where to get it please click the link below…

This exclusive deluxe package includes the original film from the Shoreline Amphitheatre (taken directly from the master tapes), reproduction tour program, deluxe “digi-pak” packaging, replica tour passes, along with a debut release of the soundtrack from the Shoreline Amphitheatre show, as a two CD set. If that wasn’t enough, there also a bonus DVD featuring some bootleg footage of the band. It must be stressed however that the bootleg footage is raw and the sound and picture quality is not to the standard of normal commercial releases, but has been included for collectors and completists.

This disc also includes some bonus audio tracks, three of which are 5.1 and four are stereo mixes. The whole package comes housed in a slipcase with artwork approved by Roger Dean and is an official Yes release.

This deluxe package is strictly only available as a Limited Edition via this website:

    http://www.gonzomultimedia.co.uk/product_details/13922/Yes-Union_%28Deluxe_2CD_&_2DVD%29.html

No shops (not even Amazon) will be carrying this deluxe edition and as such will be sold on a first come, first served basis. There is stock in our warehouse waiting to be shipped the same day orders are received. Get yours now or be disappointed later!
