Schon zum zweiten Mal nach gestern, diesmal ohne Kopfhörer, da ist Manfred Eichers zähes Klaviertönemus nicht halb so schlimm, aber ich begreife doch nicht, warum man ein Klavier gezielt unkonturiert aufnimmt oder abmischt. Oder spielt Couturier gar so? Keine Ahnung. Nichtsdestotrotz scheint das eine phantastische Sache zu sein. Anja Lechner spielt Cello, Michele Rabbia steuert sparsame Percussion und elektronische Effekte bei, im Zentrum steht meist die Stimme von Maria Pia de Vito, die singenderweise schon im öffnenden „Ogne pena cchiù spietata“ schwer beindruckt, später auch percussive Akzente setzt oder ohne Text singend improvisiert. Zu hören sind aus dem „Stabat mater“ adaptierte Musik, für die de Vito die Worte ins Neapolitanisch übertragen hat, eine „Sinfonia for violoncello“, freie Improvisationen … Improvisation vermischt sich überhaupt immer wieder mit den Vorlagen Pergolesis. Das Quartett bietet eine reich texturierte, mal äusserst dichte, dann wieder karge und sparsame Musik, die immer wieder von grossem rhythmischen Impetus geprägt wird.

Neujahrsentschluss schon vor Neujahr: keine neuen Cds mehr kaufen. Die Platten anhören, sich wirklich mit ihnen auseinandersetzen, die man schon seit Jahren (ungehört!?) im Schrank hat.

Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen (wie uncool).

Bachs Johannes-Passion unter Karl Forster … eine monumentale Sache, wie es scheint, dramatische Lesart, aber mit vorzüglichen Solisten: Fritz Wunderlich gibt den Evangelisten, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau den Jesus, die Sopran- und Alt-Arien werden von Elisabeth Grümmer und Christa Ludwig gesungen. Die Aufnahmen entstand 1961.

@ Blues to Bechet: Genau so bin ich momentan auch drauf. Habe mir in den letzten Monaten für meine Verhältnisse unglaublich viel gekauft – und jetzt das große Verlangen, die Sachen auch wirklich kennen zu lernen, mich mal in ein paar wenige Alben ganz tief fallen zu lassen…wunderbar.
