Bevor ich zur anderen Petibon-CD gehe, die gestern in der Post war, die neuste CD … Motetten von Alessandro Scarlatti, drei für Altsolo, gesungen vom Countertenor Gérard Lesne, sowie eine vierte für Sopran und Alt mit Véronique Gens und Lesne. Es begleitet wie üblich Il Seminario Musicale, in diesem Fall (rec. 1993) u.a. mit Blandine Rannou am Cembalo und Pascal Monteilhet an der Theorbe, von dem gestern diese Doppel-CD im Paket mit den Petibon und anderen CDs lag.
Die Petibon-CD ist übrigens vom ersten Eindruck her phantastisch! Eine sehr schöne Stimme, manchmal wohl etwas viel Vibrato, aber so ist das halt mit den Sängern und Sängerinnen … das Ensemble spielt zupackend mit viel Geschepper und grosser Verve, die Musik ist zu weiten Teilen unbekannt und stammt (es gibt gegen Ende auch noch „Greensleaves“ neben Auszügen aus Rameaus „Les Indes galantes“ und Purcells „Dido and Aeneas“ und „King Arthur“, Charpentiers Médée“ und einer Händel-Arie). Die Themen der Lieder sind weit gestreut, aber das ganze kommt aus einem Guss daher, scheint eine wirklich runde Sache zu sein, die ich in den nächsten Tagen und Wochen wohl öfter hören werde!

CD 2 mit Kantaten von Alessandro Scarlatti – teilweise mit Sandrine Piau, stets mit dem Seminario Musicale unter Lesnes Leitung (rec. 1995). Fabio Biondi, der schon auf der Motetten-CD die Violine spielte, leitet übrigens längst sein eigenes Ensemble, das 1989 gegründete Europa Galante. Und auf den ältesten der Aufnahmen des 5-CD-Sets, den Kantaten von Caldara (CD 3) wirkt Pierre Hantaï am Cembalo mit.

Italienische Barock-Arien von Antonio Sartorio, Alessandro Stradella, Georg Friedrich Händel, Alessandro Scarlatti, Nicola Porpora, Antonio Vivaldi und Benedetto Marcello. Aufgenommen 2010 mit dem Venice Baroque Orchestra unter Leitung von Andrea Marcon.

Nachdem ich mit „Rosso“ durch war, lief mal wieder „Lascia ch’io pianga“ in einer Endlosschleife … und danach länger gar nichts mehr. Jetzt Véronique Gens mit dem dritten ihrer „Tragédiennes“-Alben, das den Untertitel „Les Héroïnes romantiques“ trägt und Arien aus Opern von Méhul, Kreutzer, Salieri, Gluck, Gossec, Meyerbeer, Mermet, Berlioz, Saint-Saëns, Massenet und Verdi vorstellt. Begleitet wird sie wie auf den beiden – mir noch unbekannten – Vorgängern von Les Talens Lyriques unter Christophe Rousset.

Meine neuste Einspielung der Violinsonaten Schumanns – erst die zweite, die auch die posthume dritte Sonate in a-Moll enthält.

Die beiden Mendelssohn Klaviertrios auf historischen Instrumenten, gespielt von Monica Huggett (v), Tanya Tomkins (vc) und Eric Zivian (fortep) mit sehr viel Engagement. Gefällt mir!

CD 1 enthält Suiten und Stücke von Marais und Fourquerai mit Jérôme Hantaï, Kaori Uemura und Alix Verzier an Bassgamben und Pierre Hantaï am Cembalo. CD 2 enthält Musik für zwei Bassgamben von François Couperin sowie einigen mir bisher noch völlig unbekannten Komponisten: Christopher Simson, Matthew Locke, Jean de Sainte-Colombe und Christoph Schaffrath. Es spielen Jérome Hantaï und Kaori Uemura.
