das BASF/MPS-Album The Hip Walk, habe ich schon länger auf dem Schirm, aber wie soulpope bereits erwähnte, sehr schwer zu haben und teuer

Mag ich beide sehr gerne! Die Salvador gab’s auf CD kombiniert mit einem weiteren guten Album, dem aus der „Stan Kenton Presents“-Reihe – es ist eher noch besser, präsentiert Salvador im Quartett mit Eddie Costa. Der hat ja später auch phantastische Aufnahmen mit Farlow gemacht, und er ist auch bei Joe Puma zu hören, auf dessen „Jazz“ (Jubilee, 1957) – der Pianist der zweiten Session auf dem Album ist der junge Bill Evans.
Hier läuft Reggae oder jiddischer Dub (oder was auch immer, ich poste alle Tzadik-Alben der Einfachkeit halber hier, hoffe das stört nicht zu sehr):
