Hatten wir glaub ich noch nicht, diese beiden Neuheiten (die untere gab’s schon rein digital) mit alten Aufnahmen:
William Hooker – A Time Within: Live at the New York Jazz Museum, January 14, 1977
(Valley of Search, LP/DL, 28. März 2025)Recorded live at the New York Jazz Museum on January 14, 1977, the album has been newly mastered by Joe Lambert and is now released for the first time on March 28, 2025 via Valley of Search.
William Hooker: Drums
David Ware: Tenor saxophone
Alan Braufman: Alto saxophone—
Michael Gregory Jackson – Frequency Equilibrium Koan
(LP/CD/DL, 24. Februar 2025)Michael Gregory Jackson released „FREQUENCY EQUILIBRIUM KOAN“ as a 4 track digital release in 2021. We got in contact with him to make an LP copy, as historic loft jazz recordings like this don’t crop up every day, and this recording with Julius Hemphill, Abdul Wadud and Pheeroan aKLaff deserves physical form.
Michael Gregory Jackson- Electric guitar, acoustic guitar body percussion, chimes, bamboo flutes, recording, post production, digital editing & compostion
Julius Hemphill – Alto Saxophone
Abdul Wadud – Cello
Pheeroan aKLaff – Drumshttps://moved-by-sound.bandcamp.com/album/frequency-equilibrium-koan
