-I`m the Slime , Saturday Live 1976
-Camarillo Brillo , Live ZPZ 2006
-Ruth Underwood erklärt wie sie mit Zappa zusammen ihr Marimba umbauen ( elektrisch verstärken liess ) damit sie mit dem Instrument überhaupt auf Tour gehen konnte.-DVD Rom ( habe ich noch nicht angeschaut )
Der Hauptteil besteht aus Erklärungen zu den Songs , Konzertmitschnitten , Studioaufnahmen und weiter kommen Ian und Ruth Underwood , George Duke , Bruce Fowler und einige mehr zu Wort.
Ich finde die DVD echt klasse.

Hab mir gerade die komplette Doku angeschaut. Wirklich ne feine Sache und ne tolle Würdigung seiner beiden besten Alben.
Besonders gut hat mir die Szene mit Ruth Underwood gefallen.
Sie war/ist schon ne einzigartige Percussionistin. Und sie kanns immer noch.
Die Konzertausschnitte natürlich auch vom Feinsten.
Wirklich ne sehr gelungene Sache.--

Das Zappa-Musikuniversum ist einzigartig. Der Aufbau der Kompositionen von F.Z. ist oft sehr vertrackt und aberwitzig – auf alle Fälle aber interessant. Wenn man Blut geleckt hat, will man mehr. Durch die meistens humorvollen Texte ist das Zuhören überhaupt nicht anstengend.
Also mach‘ Dir ruhig mal die Mühe.--
