Also wirklich umwerfend ist Silver Linings aber nicht, oder? Lawrence ist ganz nett, aber Cooper und spätestens De Niro nerven dann. Russell muss man wohl mögen, mir gelang das nicht.

Was hat dich an Cooper genervt? Und de Niro: Oft genug hat er mich auch genervt in den vergangenen Jahren, vor allem in all den überstrapazierten „grumpy psycho father-in-law“-Rollen – umso positiver war ich überrascht von seinem ausbalancierten Auftritt in SLP.

childintimeAm meisten gefreut hat mich der Oscar für „Searching for Sugar Man“ als bester Dokumentarfilm. Dieser Film hat mich tief berührt, als ich ihn vor einigen Wochen sah.
das kann man nur voll und ganz bestätigen. und die beiden platten von sixto rodriguez sind spitze und absolut wert gehört zu werden…

Cooper hat in Nip/Tuck einen ständig koksenden Schauspieler gespielt, da war er perfekt. Woanders funktioniert das nicht so gut.

The Hollywood spotlight may not exactly be the place for shrinking violets, but this year’s batch of Best Picture nominees is marked by the swagger with which they depict, affirm, assert, represent. There’s no self-questioning; no hesitation about the aesthetic or ontological status of the filming of history or of violence; no doubt about the uninhibited access to film any subject at will; no suggestion that there’s any particular personal standpoint that defines the perspective and that is itself apt to be reflected in the film; no worry about whether something is too violent or too repellent or too intimate or simply too uncertain to film with the hard-edged stamp of unchallenged veracity. They all have tension-free representational positiveness, with all negative charges suppressed in advance.
Every one is a message film, every one comes packed with its op-ed moralizing or its didactic ambiguity neatly wrapped in its shadow-free cinematic prose or jingling and sentimental poetry.

Ja, sehr schön, wenngleich ich Brody nicht in allem Punkten zustimme. „No self-questioning; no hesitation about the aesthetic or ontological status of the filming of history or of violence“. Wie meinen? QTs Western scheint er nicht gesehen zu haben.

one.be.loViel mehr ärgert es, dass CGI-Schrott wie Life of Pi den Cinematography-Oscar abräumt.
Ärgerlich finde ich, daß die CGI-Spezialisten anscheinend nicht angemessen bezahlt wurden (glaubt man dieser Seite).
