punchlineMir werden wieder viele durch die Lappen gehen, weil ich es zeitlich vielleicht mal wieder nicht schaffen werde, alle Veröffentlichungen in den vielen Listen durchzuhören, bzw. kurz reinzuhören. Es tauchen jährlich wahnsinnig viele neue Namen (aus meiner Sicht) auf. Und dieses Jahr sowieso. Die Rankings von UNCUT, MOJO, Rolling Stone (US) und Paste Magazine (mit Abstrichen) machen aber schon einen guten Eindruck.
Ja. Deren Nummer 2 (Alex G – God Save The Animals; lässt sich komplett auf Bandcamp streamen) begeistert mich spontan sehr. Nie zuvor gehört.

@herr-rossi ja, seine Nr.1 hat bei mir auch mächtig eingeschlagen. Und Ehre wem Ehre gebührt, es war auch Fantano der mich vor 2 Jahren durch seine Review von Lafourcade’s „Un canto por México Vol.1“ überhaupt erst auf diese tolle Künstlerin gebracht hat.

Mich beeindruckt auch bei der aktuellen Liste wieder neben seiner kontinuierlich hohen Review-Frequenz seit mittlerweile fast 14 Jahren seine stilistische Bandbreite.

Dabei ist die Scheibe stark und die Band mittlerweile ja nun wirklich keine Nischenerscheinung mehr…
