WerbungSchon mal die richtige Nummer 1 bei Uncut. Joan Shelley habe ich ja komplett aus den Augen verloren. Ist das neue Album wirklich so gut?

Joan Shelley hat durchaus einige sehr geschmackvolle Folk Alben veröffentlicht. Ganz groß für mich ist ihr bisheriges Meisterwerk „Over and Even“ das ich immer wieder gerne auflege. Ihre anderen Alben- besonders die danach- konnten mich nicht ganz einfangen obgleich sie alle alles andere als schlecht sind aber „Over and Even“ hat einen ganz speziellen „Zauber“.
Besonders freue ich mich über die recht hohe Platzierung von „Pompeii“ und natürlich über die meines Faves: „Wetaher Alive“.
Über die hohe Platzierung von Micheal Head wundere ich mich ein wenig: das Album hat mich emotional leider gar nicht erreicht.--

Das Album fand ich richtig gut. Auch immer schön wenn sie zusammen mit dem Prinzen Billy singt. In „Over And Even“ werde ich mal reinhören, und ins neue Album wohl auch.

In den Reviews im Dezember-Heft bekommt das neue Weyes Blood-Album 9/10 und in den Jahrescharts ist es nicht mal unter den ersten 75 LPS? Seltsam.

Man sieht oben in der Liste, dass es nicht bei den Top 30 dabei ist. Das komplette Listing (75 Alben) ist im Januar-Heft und da ist es halt auch nicht dabei. Wundere mich halt nur.
Uncut ist diesmal eh recht weit weg von meiner eigenen Liste. Da ist die von MOJO schon eher dran.
