Seit längerem schon. Der Track wurde mir damals durch Sylvie Simmons‘ Gainsbourg-Biographie „A Fistful Of Gitanes“ nahegebracht. Und obwohl sich Holmes sehr eng an dseinen Vorlagen „Melody“/“Cargo Culte“ orientiert, entwickelt sich doch eine gänzlich eigene Dynamik.
Die dazugehörige LP „Let’s Get Killed“ höre ich momentan übrigens auch mit großer Begeisterung, ebenso wie weitere Alben aus dem Bereich Sampling/Electronica, z.B. „Since I Left You“, „Entroducing“ oder „Fantasma“. Durchaus Neuland für mich, aber fruchtbares…
