Ein neues Mulitmedia-Projekt von Björk. Dieses Album soll als erstes App-Album 2011 erscheinen.Info hier und hier.

Björk möchte offenbar das Material aus Live-Veranstaltungen von Shows, die im Juni/Juli in Manchester noch bevorstehen, verwenden.

Man darf gespannt sein.

Sie macht es spannend: jeden Tag postet (oder läßt posten) sie ein Bild von kristallinen mineralischen Gebilden. Heute war allerdings ein sehr schön von ihr dabei mit roten Haaren. L

There’s also ‘The Biophilia Manual,’ which is a “48-page, full-color, hardbound, cloth-covered, and thread-sewn book, tipped on lenticular panel to the front cover, with foil-blocked spine and back cover; the music is housed in black uncoated board wallets.”

The Biophilia Ultimate Edition, presented in a lacquered and silkscreened oak-hinged lid case, consists of the Biophilia Manual along with 10 chrome-plated tuning forks, silkscreened on one face in 10 different colors, stamped at the back, and presented in a flocked tray. Each fork is adjusted to the tone of a Biophilia track, covering a complete octave in a non-conventional scale. It will be made to order and fabricated only once; each case comes with an individual numbered certificate.

Voher kommen aber noch zwei Singles, nämlich „Virus“ und „Moon“.

Lacquered and silkscreened Oak hinged lid case containing the Biophilia Manual, along with 10 chrome-plated tuning forks, silkscreened on one face in 10 different colors, stamped at the back, and presented in a flocked tray. Each fork adjusted to the tone of each of the tracks from Biophiia and covering a complete octave in a non-conventional scale:

Case Circa. 260 X 204 X 48mm external, overall.
Each case comes with an individual numbered certificate detailing the use of tuning forks.

242 x 186 mm 48 pages hardbound, clothed covered and thread sewn book, tipped on lenticular panel to the front cover.
Contains 2 audio CD including the Biophila album and additional exclusive recordings.
Essays by Nikki Dibben. Design and drawings by M/M (Paris). Photography by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin and M/M (Paris).
Text pages printed on 150gsm uncoated stock. Discs are presented in Black uncoated board wallets. The spine and back cover will be foil blocked.
The Manual is removed from the case by means of a ribbon pull.

Groß! Die Vorfreude auf „Biophilia“ hat mich in letzter Zeit wieder viel Björk hören und sehen lassen. Wäre schön, wenn es zur Album-VÖ die Möglichkeit gäbe, dieses schauwertige Instrumentarium live zu begutachten….
