sokrates Die niedrige Platzierung von Scarecrow überrascht mich, Doc. Ich dachte, die würde Dir besser gefallen.

Sie ist gerade noch so hinein geschluppt. Ich führe sie „nur“ bei ***1/2+. Insgesamt war dieses Jahr im Rückblick schon eine Enttäuschung. Lediglich ein Meisterwerk und zehn sehr gute Alben. Könnte gar das Schlechteste der 80er werden.

Kein Highlight, aber 80-83 kommen in der Breite bei mir noch dahinter. Dafür hatte 85 Live Aid.

„Arcadia“ war doch ein Side-Project von Duran Duran, oder? „Election day“ war ein kleinerer Hit damals. War nichts für mich. Zu „Purple Schulz“ vor z.B. The Waterboys, The Smiths oder Prefab Sprout sage ich jetzt mal nichts.

Schönes und interessantes Update! A-ha, die Waterboys und auch Falco gehören aber natürlich mal mindestens in die Top 10…

Erfreulich sind dafür aber generell alle Nennungen deutschsprachiger Alben.

Wo aber sind das fantastische „Picture Book“ und der Klassiker „Brothers in Arms“? Vor allem das Debut von Simply Red müsstest Du doch abfeiern!?
