beatgenrollKlaus, das Jahr 1974 gehört für mich zu den den besten sieben Jahren der Pop- und Rockgeschichte. Immerhin wirft es 19 Meisterwerke ab. 4 davon haben wir in Deiner TOP10 gemeinsam, dazu kommen in der TOP 20 weitere 9 Alben mit ****+-****1/2+ dazu. Ich sehe dies als eine recht hohe Übereinstimmung. Enttäuschungen aus meiner Sicht: Deep Purple (Burn) – Queen (II) – Blue Öyster Cult – Lynyrd Skynyrd – Steely Dan – King Crimson (Red) – Focus – Joni Mitchell (Court and spark) – Eagles – UFO. Um mal bei den angekündigten zehn deutlichen Wertungsunterschieden zu bleiben.

13 Überschneidungen mit meinen Top 20 sind erfreulich. Aber auch die Enttäuschungen relativieren sich. 3x ****1/2- (Platzierungen: 19, 23+24), 4x ****+ (Pl.: 26, 27, 28+32), 1x **** (Pl. 41) und 2x ****- (Pl. 50+51). Unter‘m Strich handelt es sich bei den Alben auch nicht um die Topalben der Acts. Alles in allem doch recht moderate „Enttäuschungen“ wie ich finde

Ich besitze immerhin 28 Alben aus deiner Liste. Aus der Top 10 habe/kenne ich nur das Album von „The Sensational Alex Harvey Band“ nicht. „War Child“ erscheint mir doch deutlich zu hoch im Ranking. Die Wertschätzung von Genesis und Supertramp freut mich hingegen sehr. „Queen II“ liegt bei mir (aktuell) vor der  „Sheer Heart Attack“. Und ja, Die „Eagles“ hinter der „Glitter Band“ ist auch für mich recht schwer zu verdauen.   Ansonsten haben wir doch in diesem Jahr durchaus einige Überschneidungen.
