Auswertung der Umfrage – Die 20 besten Tracks von Neil Young

Von 69 Teilnehmern wurden insgesamt 21.390 Punkte vergeben, die sich auf genau – und das finde ich relativ beachtlich – 242 unterschiedliche Tracks verteilen. So ein richtiger Konsens beim Werk von Neil Young scheint also bei den Teilnehmern – zumindest in der Breite, vielleicht weniger in der Spitze (wie wir noch sehen werden) – eher nicht zu bestehen.

Auswertungsregeln:
Für Platz 1 gibt es 25 Punkte, für Platz 20 dann noch 6 Punkte.
Bei Punktgleichheit zählt die höhere Anzahl der Nennungen des jeweiligen Songs; sollte dann immer noch kein Sieger gefunden sein, gewinnt der Song, der die höhere Einzelplatzierung erzielt hat.

Die Lieblingstracks der einzelnen Teilnehmer

Insgesamt 32 Tracks wurden von den Teilnehmern als Lieblingstracks nominiert.
Natürlich stehen mit „Cortez the Killer“ und „Like a Hurricane“ vielleicht die erwarteten Favoriten ganz oben. Ich finde es dennoch erstaunlich, daß sich die Präferenzen bei Neil Young auf so viele Tracks verteilen.

Die 20 besten Tracks von Neil Young – Wer ist der „Konsensheini“ und wer ist der „Dissenshorst“?

Auswertung nach der „Multiplikationsmethode“:
Die erreichten Punkte der Tracks werden multipliziert mit der umgekehrten Reihenfolge der Platzierung in der Liste des jeweiligen Teilnehmers, sprich: die erreichten Punkte des Tracks auf Platz 1 werden mit dem Faktor 20 gewichtet, die des Songs auf Platz 2 mit dem Faktor 19, bis runter zu den erreichten Punkten des Tracks auf Platz 20 der jeweiligen Teilnehmerliste, die noch mit dem Faktor 1 gewichtet werden.
Die durch diese Multiplikation ermittelten Punkte der Tracks werden dann zusammengezählt.

So, es geht los.

Habe die Tracks ab Platz 41 eingestellt.
Das sind alle Tracks, die weniger als 150 Punkte erreicht haben.

Und da ist so mancher Hochkaräter dabei, den ich eventuell vor der Umfrage etwas höher verortet hätte:

Habe in der Konsenswertung die Plätze im weiten Bereich des Mittelfelds eingefügt.

Durch die Vielzahl der Tracks sind die Abstände im Mittelfeld teilweise sehr gering.
Kann jedoch schon mal ankündigen, daß sich der „Konsensheini“ oben – ein nicht ganz Unbekannter in dieser Spezialwertung, wenn ich das aus den letzten Umfragen noch richtig im Kopf habe – dann doch deutlich vom Feld abgesetzt hat.
Etwas anders sieht es unten bei den „Dissenshorsten“ aus: die beiden Protagonisten dieser Wertung – auch hier ein nicht ganz unbekanntes Gesicht dabei – haben sich dann doch nochmal deutlich vom Drittplatzierten entfernt, haben aber untereinander nur wenige Punkte Abstand.

Ich sehe immerhin hier schon sechs Tracks aus meiner Top 20 außerhalb der Top 40. Aber zumindest ist jeder Track aus meiner Top 20 mit mindestens einer weiteren Nennung vertreten. Schön.

Meine Nummer Eins hat es auf Platz  52 geschafft. Danke an die sechs anderen Foris, die auch ihre Stimme für den Song abgegeben haben. 
Wenn ich mir so das Feld der Songs bis Platz 42 anschaue, wird mir noch mal bewusst, wie viele Stücke ich von Neil doch liebe  die es nicht in meine Liste geschafft habe.

Und es bleibt spannend

Von meiner Seite aus riesigen Dank für die Mühe, @stefane! Mit deiner aufwendigen Betreuung hast du hier im Forum ja schon länger Maßstäbe für diese Umfragen gesetzt, aber es ist immer wieder eine große Freude!

Wenn ich mich nicht verzählt habe, sind noch genau die Hälfte meiner genannten Tracks im Rennen! Dachte zwar, dass es sich bei meiner Liste nicht für die vordersten Plätze ausgehen wird, in Anbetracht der ganzen alternativen Versionen, die hier genannt wurden (bei mir waren es zwanzig ordinäre Album-Tracks), hätte ich nicht geglaubt, im Konsens-Ranking so relativ weit hinten zu landen. Bin gespannt, wie es weitergeht. Und ja, natürlich krass, was da schon alles außerhalb der Top 40 gelandet ist. :)

Auch von mir natürlich erst einmal dank für die Durchführung @stefane, super schnell und engagierte Auswertung!

Es ist schon eine hammerharte Sache, wenn man sieht das so wirklich supertolle songs wie „words“ , „mellow my mind“ und „motion pictures“ es nicht unter die ersten 40 Plätze schaffen, und noch unfassbarer das keiner von uns 69  „Don’t be denied“ auf Platz eins gesetzt hat….schade das ich es noch nicht einmal im Dissens unter die besten geschafft habe,  es widerstrebte mir aber von den übelsten Platten Youngs auch nur einen in die Liste der besten 20 zu nehmen. Andere hatten da keine Hemmungen….
