Guten Morgen, höre mir gerade Sam Lees „songdreaming“ bei bandcamp an, gefällt mir gut. Etwas skeptisch war ich zuvor schon, muss ich gestehen.
Dieses Album hat was ganz wunderbar beruhigendes, bringt einen angenehm zu sich selbst zurück und macht den Kopf wieder klar. All das macht seine Stimme, in Kombination mit den gut gewählten, sehr reduziert eingesetzten Instrumenten. Meine Favoriten: McCrimmon, Leaves of life, Green Mossy Banks, Aye Walking Oh, Dreams of the Returning, Sweet Girl McRee.

Hach, das freut mich! ♡ Genau das [Beruhigende ohne Einschläfernde] gefällt mir auch so an dem Album! Der Titel ist vielleicht nicht so gut gewählt – wirkt ein bisschen beliebig; dabei hat es so eine wunderbar soghafte Tiefe, wie sonst kaum ein Album. (Die CD ist auch sehr schön aufgemacht, inklusive Booklet mit Lyrics und Anmerkungen zu den Songs, die ich allerdings noch nicht alle gelesen habe. Im Gegensatz zur lieblosen For-Cryin’-Out-Loud!-CD von FINNEAS.)
