Die folgenden sind noch nicht reif für die Bewertung, sollen aber nicht vergessen werden und kommen noch dran (teilweise schon mal reingehört, teilweise noch nicht mal bestellt).:

klingt wie calexico, wenn sie endlich einen guten sänger hätten.. und einige tracks wirklich wie „nancy & lee“… leider ein bißchen wenig krachige songs (meine liebste giant sand ist noch immer die „center of the universe“)… aber trotzdem wohl die beste platte seit „chore of enchantment“ aus dieser ecke…zu glasvegas: also das gibt mir (wie auch schon die fleet foxes) nicht sehr viel… schön langsam sind diese ganzen beach boys-epigonen ein bißchen langweilig, finde ich (mir reicht da der panda bear)… und

2. Giant Sand – proVisions ****1/2JD, der Sound v. „S’no angel“ ist rauher, unbehauhener, weniger durchgestylt und hätte so auch live eingespielt sein können.
Ganz das Gegenteil von proVsions, denn hier dominieren einige eingesprenkelte Gitarreneffekte (oft im Tremolosound), Vibraphon, Piano und Synthiesounds (die sich dezent oft im Hintergrund abspielen) und auch Bläser kommen vor.
Stilistisch holt Howe auf proVisions deutlich weiter aus, als auf „S’no Angel“.
Manche Duette erinnern mich an die 60er (Hazlewood/Sinatra), manche sind sehr intim und erinnern an die ruhigeren Stücke v. „Chore“.
Falls Du mal einen Eindruck brauchst, schick mir ne PN.--
