Ja, dieses Riff ist genial – hat er das als Multiinstrumentalist selbst gespielt – weißt du das, Flurin?
Für die Blasinstrumente hatte er stets Hilfe; ich glaube nicht, dass er die selbst auch noch beherrschte – oder zumindest nicht so, dass er das dokumentieren wollte (auch in den Zeiten, als er seine Alben komplett allein im Studio einspielte, hatte er in der Regel einen Trompeter und einer Saxer für die Bläser-Parts dabei).

Vermutlich mein liebstes aus dem ganzen Clinton-Orbit … hatte den Track wohl für Folge #75 von gypsy goes jazz zubereitet (wo es ein paar Sachen gab, die etwas über den Tellerrand guckten, aber dann halt doch nicht sowas) … passend dazu war ich heute Nachmittag bei meinem alten Herrn, der heute sein eigenes Dreivierteljahrhundert feierte.
