habs grad zuerst im weller thread gelesen. das neue album von embrace ist auf platz eins in den aktuellen uk charts eingestiegen. und das freut mich ungemein zumal sie ja von vielen schon fast abgeschrieben worden sind. ich habs noch nicht allzu oft gehört aber mir gefällts auch schon sehr gut.. im folgenden die erfreulichen news aus der sicht der beteiligten..

Out Of Nothing: Number One in the UK Album Chart!!
Embrace's latest album „Out Of Nothing“, released last Monday, has today entered the UK album chart at number one! This is the band's second number one album, the first being „The Good Will Out“ back in June 1998. „Out Of Nothing“ sold nearly twice as many copies as „The Good Will Out“ in it's first week, going gold on the first day of sale.
All this despite many problems with stock throughout the week as fans were greeted with empty shelves in many retailers due to the unexpected demand for the album.

Danny: The Best Fucking Fans In The World!!
I've just been on the phone to our Richard to give him the fantastic news. He was really cool on the other side just saying „right, right, right“ after each sentence.
When I asked him why he was being so cool about it, he said „I don't want Jo (his wife) to know until I tell her, and she’s listening.“
So I then said „OK, tell her then.“
She was saying „What number are we? What number are we? What number are we?“ in the background.
Our Richard said „We're at number fucking one!“.
To which Jo replied „Aaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!“.
None of us expected the album to get to number one, even with the success of Gravity we were hoping at best top five, but probably number seven or eight. We're at number one and it’s all down to you – the best fucking fans in the world!! We want to thank each and every one of you for putting us there.
If you're an Embrace fan, get the beers in – today is a day to celebrate.
