Manchmal wünschte ich mir bei ihm, dass nicht immer Harold Mabern dabei wäre sondern ein Pianist, der etwas feiner und nuancierter spielt. Den besten Coleman hört man meiner Ansicht nach 1964 mit Miles Davis (Four & More, My Funny Valentine) – da ist auch die Band unglaublich gut drauf.
