Für den Sound kann wohl Mitchell hier vermutlich wenig bis nichts – da ist wohl die damals übliche hässliche Bassaufnahmetechnik schuld … ansonsten sehe ich Mitchell ja längst nicht so kritisch, sein Duo-Album für Sonet mit Barney Kessel aus ungefähr derselben Zeit z.B. gefällt mir, die frühen Aufnahmen für Contemporary mit Hampton Hawes und anderen sowieso.
