Hier immer noch Coleman Hawkins … vorhin Stücke aus der Keynote-Session der Cozy Cole All-Stars (mit Earl Hines, Trummy Young, Joe Thomas), jetzt die Sax Ensemble-Session (mit Tab Smith, Don Byas, Harry Carney Johnny Guarnieri, Al Lucas und Sid Catlett).
Bei mir bleibt übrigens gegenüber Carmell Jones‘ eigenen Aufnahmen fast immer ein Rest Reserviertheit – die Pacifics höre ich eher wegen Land, mit Heath werde ich ja auch nur so halbwegs warm. Aber das ist schon alles sehr solide gemachter Hard Bop.
