„…In September 1946 Byas came to Europe with Don Redman’s band and stayed here, living first in Paris and later in Holland.
The tracks on the present LP were recorded in Paris in the mid-1950s and were somewhat special, because Don`s partners were women: pianist Mary-Lou Williams, who lived in France in the 50s, and the Beryl Booker Trio, which was on a European tour.„
