Gene Ammons – Bad! Bossa Nova (1962)
Der Boss versucht auf den Bossa Nova-Zug aufzuspringen und fliegt dabei voll daneben. Manches klingt irgendwie nach Calypso, anderes irgendwie nach jungle music, aber wirklich nichts wie Bossa Nova. Bad und Bossa Nova, geht das überhaupt zusammen? Offenbar nicht, aber das ist hier ein Glücksfall. Bad! Bossa Nova ist gefake-ter Latin Jazz, Exotica, Maskerade und gerade dadurch so originell und amüsant.
