John The RelevatorIch mag das Spiel von Bobby Timmons – vllt. auch dem Umstand geschuldet, dass ich sehr früh schon die Platte „This here is Bobby Timmons“ besaß und diese schon immer sehr mochte. Dies hätte ich wirklich sehr gerne wieder als Platte.
Habe sie zwar nur auf CD, war aber meine erste Begegnung, noch vor „Cannonball in San Francisco“ – die einzige Original-Riverside in Plattenregal meines Vaters. Mit den drei „Hits“ ist die Sache geritzt, aber es gibt ja noch anderes, „Lush Life“ etwa, wenn mein Gedächtnis mich nicht trügt?
