Und bei mir geht es weiter mit Ellington … verdammt war das Orchester damals gut! Sam Woodyard macht schon zu Beginn, in „Black and Tan Fantasy“, einen Riesenunterschied! Und Quentin „Butter“ Jackson war ein mehr als würdiger Nachfolger von „Tricky Sam“! Und ich glaube, später gibt es irgendwann ein recht nettes kleines Tenorsaxophonsolo …
